The Sr. Business Intelligence Analyst will work with cross functional leaders to help drive data driven decision making, while growing our BI platform, transforming data into insight, and providing managers and employees data to provide actionable insights for Go-to-Market (GTM) and Strategic Business Services (SBS) teams. The role will require a fine balance of data analytics, business analysis, and effective communication skills at all levels of the organization.
Responsibilities:
• Partner with various GTM & SBS leaders to have consistent visibility, leverage data and thematic insights to run business units, increase predictability, visibility, and performance metrics using business intelligence tools like Domo and Snowflake
• Partner with Finance and Revenue Operations to align and drive a single source of truth for company level reporting and metrics, driving process improvements and data integrity
• Conduct analysis and ongoing monitoring of available data, refinement, BI roadmap and feedback, scrubbing to improve existing data integrity
• Use knowledge of the specific data available, forecasting/analysis methods and visualization capabilities to enhance requirements and provide insightful suggestions to business stakeholders
• Assist with planning, capacity, and productivity analyses
• Automate data to enable managers to spend time understanding and leverage data across the organization, less time pulling the information from various sources to get a full view
• Understand what good looks like and the change management required to get there
• Drives business stakeholder meetings to gather requirements and make reporting/BI recommendations
• Deliver and provide support of end-users’ ability to effectively and efficiently utilize the BI platform.
• Develop a deep understanding of the various business processes, data sets and BI team deliverables
Requirements and Preferred Experience:
• 3-5 years of related experience, preferable in a SaaS environment
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Analytics, Data Sciences or related Engineering/Information Technology field(s) is preferred
• Curiosity and passion for problem solving both conceptually and analytically, focused on optimizing strategy and process to continually provide valuable insights
• Detail-oriented person who is passionate about quality and enthusiastic about new technology
• Organized and can manage multiple projects that meet the needs of multiple stakeholders within the organization. Ability to remain focused and flexible during rapid change
• Strong EQ and cross-functional interpersonal skills - able to liaise with all groups ranging from finance to sales, with the ability to gracefully deliver tough news and insights.
• Strong process and documentation skills - ability to connect process gaps with data integrity needs and ability to manage across teams to refine workflows accordingly
• Administration and/or analysis work with SaaS tools (Salesforce, Marketo, Mavenlink, Google Analytics, Zendesk, ADP, etc)
• Experience working with business intelligence tools and concepts preferred (Domo, Tableau or Looker, etc)
• Experience working with data warehouses like Redshift of Snowflake
• Experience working with ETL and/or ELT tools like Snaplogic, Workato and Fivetran
• Crisp written communication and verbal communication skills
• Quantitative Skills; Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience using multiple datasources, enriching data to complete analyses
