About the role
We are seeking a seasoned Data Analyst who is a product data-driven individual with sharp skills, excellent internal and external communication skills, and a background in product-specific business analytics. In this role, you will be responsible for understanding PetDesk’s suite of products from the data perspective, identifying customer utilization patterns, and analyzing impact, trends, and business value.

You will be providing these insights to a wide range of audiences, from internal leaders to customer-facing teams, to PetDesk’s enterprise customers themselves. The goal is to enable data-driven decision-making with accuracy, accessibility, and reliability, to help PetDesk and its customers grow and manage their business. This role will also mentor less experienced analysts. You will bring your expertise and skills to be an effective player/coach, helping to provide structure, prioritization, and technical mentorship.

• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure reporting solutions are scalable, repeatable, and meet stakeholders' expectations
• Lead the charge in defining and highlighting the impact of PetDesk’s platform, explicitly facilitating work among Product and Engineering teams to ensure alignment
• Make sense of PetDesk’s unique data, perform advanced analysis, and provide reporting to both company leadership and enterprise customers
• Collaborate with data engineers to build a robust data warehouse capable of producing standardized metrics, reports, and dashboards across domains
• Serve as the subject matter expert and go-to resource for defining and delivering enterprise data
• Establish data quality standards, troubleshoot data validation, proactively identify issues, and see them to resolution
• Translate high-level business or product objectives into accurate, efficient, and effective reporting solutions, delivering critical insights to the leadership team
• Act as an internal consultant for multiple departments, bring a fresh data perspective to driving decisions and improve the quality of pet & veterinary solutions

Who You Are:

• 6+ years of experience working with data and analytics
• 4+ years of experience working specifically with user/customer-driven product data
• Proactive and inquisitive learner who seeks out and capitalizes on opportunities for change, rather than reacting to circumstances
• Abundant experience breaking down complex data sets and turning them into meaningful and actionable information
• No stranger to changing customer or business analysis expectations and priorities
• Proven examples of analysis leading to a positive impact on a business' growth
• Highly proficient in SQL, data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau), and Python
• Excellent problem-solving and logic skills and end-to-end quantitative thinking
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet objectives and key deadlines
• Outstanding communications skills with both technical and non-technical colleagues
