About The Role

As a Data Operations Engineer you will work on supporting the data engineering and BI teams ensuring the pipelines are working correctly, the platforms are up and healthy, and our systems are operating at their optimal efficiency. 

What You'll Do

• Helps to ensure the regular sharing of data within and outside the company; refactor the SQL when needed
• Assess the ongoing performance and usage of BI tools, databases and tools
• Respond to questions in the support channel and propose solutions
• Handle small intake requests
• Create and deactivate accounts, expand privs when appropriate
• Identify and remove unused objects
• Archive data from systems when needed
• Keep up the ETL transformation code
• Create data audit alerts and respond to them
• Keep up data security procedures and guidelines

What We Look For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other technical field or equivalent work experience
• Strong experience using analytics platforms and BI tools
• Steller ability to troubleshoot issues and attempt to resolve the issue.  Coordinate issues with the other teams so a root cause can be identified and created.
• Demonstrated good understanding of how data flows throughout a company and can talk to data governance as each phase.
• Excellent SQL experience with working through complex queries.  

• Willingness to be be on a on-call rotation

• Strong multitasking skills with the ability to balance competing priorities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is desired, and ambiguity is the norm
• Python language experience preferred
