About the Role:

We are looking for a Senior Data Test Engineer to be part of our Enterprise Information Management team to deliver trusted data capabilities as we work toward the transformation of our company into a data-driven organization.

This key role for the data engineering team is responsible for delivering high quality data products enabling our modern data platforms to drive business value and growth. This includes developing, modifying and executing software test plans; analyze and write test scenarios; develop test automation; maintain documentation of results; and work closely with development teams to resolve problems.

What You Will Do:

• Lead the development of test automation framework, tools, and processes
• Utilize data and technical expertise to support the development of high-quality, reusable testing components and solutions
• Ensure teams are following testing standards and best practices
• Work closely with data engineers, engineering managers, and business users to reproduce, analyze, debug and determine root cause found during the testing process
• Execute test plans in coordination with development schedules to test data products, features and enhancements
• Build and execute automated regression for developed data products
• Coordinate, oversee and report on end-user quality testing for projects and system enhancements.
• Monitor defects through to a timely resolution; adhere to defect tracking processes.
• Review defects and ensure they are adequately retested when fixed.
• Clearly identify and report risks for software releases.
• Track and manage the progress of testing activities for software releases.
• Coordinate with the engineering team and various business department teams to identify test requirements, build test plans, define testing cases, write test scripts, execute end-user testing and resolve defects.
• Participate in design reviews and technical discussions, making recommendations for product quality and testability.
• Contribute to building test environments, test labs, and generate test data.
• Other duties as assigned

What You Will Need:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and work experience
• Typically, 5+ years with bachelor's or equivalent
• Prior Test Lead experience required
• Demonstrated ability to design and automate data test scenarios including but not limited to regression tests, performance testing, conversion testing required
• AWS, Snowflake, and Talend experience preferred
• Ability to query SQL database tables, analyze data and data file formats for test validation
• Python experience preferred

Salary range:  $69,098.54 – $127,614.10

The salary range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this role. Individual pay within the range will be determined by multiple factors which can include but are not limited to a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location.
