Upwork is looking for someone to lead our analytics for our Brand Awareness campaigns and measure the financial impact of brand investment. Initially this role will largely be an individual contributor role. Longer-term, this role has an opportunity to hire and grow a team to cater to a growing brand budget. Prior experience in working with brand agencies, brand measurement and measuring online and offline brand awareness campaigns is required. In addition, strong domain knowledge of Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) is expected out of this role. 

Your Responsibilities:

  • Build and execute on the Brand Analytics roadmap across a wide group of stakeholders
  • Own segmentation and targeting to understand financial returns at the Marketing channel (Podcast, Addressable TV etc) and campaign level
  • Analyze campaigns, A/B tests and provide readouts on performance and make recommendations to improve the campaigns.
  • Provide weekly performance summary for executive consumption and run weekly team meetings to review campaign performance.
  • Drive necessary data infrastructure improvements to enable full visibility into our brand spend performance through the usage of 3rd party data sources and our internal data warehouse 

What it takes to catch our eye:

  • Experience supporting brand measurement for a company investing $50+ million in brand efforts 
  • Experienced in brand awareness analytics with a background in segmentation and targeting.
  • Experienced in brand awareness testing, including geographical-based targeting, to help understand incremental impact of brand investment
  • A strong understanding of MMM and prior experience validating MMM results through testing.
  • Experienced in SQL and in visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, Power BI or equivalent
  • Ideally, you’re worked with two-sided marketplaces businesses or ecommerce platforms

 

The annual base salary for this position in California and Washington ranges from $123,000 - $213,000. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum salary for this position in California and Washington, and individual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Additionally, this position is eligible for the annual bonus plan or sales incentive plan and eligibility to participate in our long term equity incentive program.
