Overview:

Crisis Text Line is free, 24/7 support for those in crisis. Text 741741 from anywhere in the US to text with a trained Crisis Counselor. Crisis Text Line trains volunteers to support people in crisis. With over 150 million messages processed to date, we’re growing quickly, but so is the need.

Role 

The Senior Business Analyst will sit on the Marketing and Communications team at Crisis Text Line. They will be responsible for gathering and analyzing industry trends, understanding and articulating the data behind our volunteer and service delivery funnel, and providing insight into high priority markets. The primary responsibilities in this role will be to support marketing priorities by analyzing trends within our community and service users, analyzing promotion  outcomes, and forecasting marketing metrics. The ideal candidate in this role has a natural analytical way of thinking and feels comfortable explaining their rationale to key stakeholders.  

Responsibilities

  • Produce monthly marketing performance report
  • Identify business needs for cross-functional projects and build consensus around business strategy.
  • Evaluate current marketing levers and demographics to identify opportunities to reach more people with our service
  • Gather and analyze all relevant data necessary to inform marketing strategy
  • Use data modeling and projections to help the team understand how we are performing against organizational OKRs
  • Research trends using both Crisis Text Line’s data and external sources
  • Conduct keyword research to identify SEO and SEM trends and tactics
  • Assist in managing the backend of the corporate website and performing regular technical updates through WordPress

Qualifications

  • 5+  years of experience
  • BS in Data Science or relevant field, Master’s a plus.
  • Posses solid data analytics skills (SQL or equivalent) and is eager to gain new knowledge and learn new tools.
  • Understands key metrics such as CPC, CTR, CPA, ROI and understands the landscape of how these metrics intersect
  • Familiarity with data visualization
  • Self-starter and experienced project manager
  • Ability to understand and articulate market trends for the marketing and communications team.
