In this job you will:
- Build mission-critical data processing pipelines underpinning our core suite of customer-facing social-media analytics products using Spark/PySpark, ElasticSearch and other petabyte-scale compute technologies
- Work collaboratively with a small product-focused, cross-functional team
- Own and develop a technical roadmap for mission critical technical components
- Lead the adoption of collaborative engineering best practices within your technical team
- Mentor other engineers within your team through pair/mob programming
- Lead and participate in technical design sessions
- Work closely with a small team of talented systems engineers working on petabyte-scale analytics systems supporting analytical workloads involving metadata for billions of videos
Your Responsibilities will include:
- Design, implement, and support large-scale data processing pipelines using Kubernetes, Spark, Kafka, ElasticSearch, and more
- Programming in Python, Scala, and Java
- Mentorship of engineers through collaborative development
- Participation in interviewing processes, as needed
- Participation in the Data services on-call rotation
Ideal candidates will have:
- 8+ years of experience as a senior member of the technical staff at a data-intensive engineering company
- Proven track record leading large-scale engineering projects
- Experience working on end-user products, ideally in enterprise SaaS is highly desirable

The pay range for this position is: $170,000 - $230,000 per year. Please note that the foregoing compensation information is a good-faith assessment associated with this position only and is provided pursuant to applicable law.
