​A bit about this role:

The Staff Data Scientist will serve as a crucial partner to our teams, using data to answer important questions; building robust data pipelines that underpin our products and operations; and fostering a data-driven culture by using their technical expertise to identify opportunities to improve key outcomes and operational efficiency. This individual will report into our Data Science team, and will work alongside Product Managers, Software Engineers, Business Intelligence Analysts, and Business Leads to solve key challenges for the company.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely with key business stakeholders and BI analysts to meet the analytical needs of the business, and providing insight in a rapid, iterative, and collaborative process

  • Enabling thoughtful reports and dashboards that help operations teams improve their business decision-making

  • Using ML, including predictive modeling and language-based techniques, and statistical analysis to improve the speed and accuracy of our processes

  • Communicating results to an audience of mixed technical backgrounds

Required skills and experience:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment

  • 4+ years of individual technical contributor experience

  • 2+ years of working on Data Science initiatives in Healthcare, preferably in Medicare Advantage and/or with clinical data

  • Experience collaborating effectively with stakeholders

  • Advanced SQL skills

  • Experience with Python or R

  • Equally comfortable building dashboards and reports for KPIs and doing deep-dive statistical analysis, such as predictive modeling and experimental design, to influence the business

Salary Range: $130,000 - $155,000
