Jobcase is looking for an Analytics Engineering Lead to join our Analytics - Data Science team.

What you'll be doing here:

    • Be the central resource for Analytics Engineering expertise. Spearhead the development of analytics engineering best practices that will enable data analysts to
    • Define scalable, easy-to-understand data models that support effective analysis
    • Write performant transformations within the data model architecture you develop
    • Configure business intelligence tools to provide access to data and analyses
    • Working in a “Platform as a Service” model, own the BI and transformation platforms that enable analysts to create quality data transformations, data models, and reporting
    • Introduce and support the team's adoption and use of a new transformation tool, likely dbt
    • Help define best practices for data modeling, SQL query structure and optimization, data ops (e.g., version control, testing, CI/CD), and privacy/security compliance
    • Work closely with data engineers to coordinate between load and transformation of data
    • Reconcile data issues, finding opportunities to drive improvements and automation
    • Provide input into strategic judgements around data infrastructure, partnering with engineering leadership
    • Work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, hybrid-remote environment

About you and your skills:

    • 5+ years experience as a data architect, data engineer, BI engineer or related role
    • Professional experience developing and executing on a data warehouse and/or data platform strategy using a modern data stack
    • Expertise in SQL, Python, and system architecture – with the ability to understand the context of a business need and build a system that addresses it
    • SQL power user (Can write advanced SQL, interpret and optimize queries written by others)
    • Expert in data warehouse and data mart modeling techniques
    • Ability to drive business value through effective communication skills
    • Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders to ensure data capabilities

Experience across the data stack with languages and tools like:

    • SQL
    • Python
    • Git
    • dbt / Informatica / Talend / Matilion
    • Redshift / Snowflake / Google Big Query
    • Looker / Tableau / Microstrategy / Power BI
