OVERVIEW

The Analytics Intern will join Welocalize’s industry-leading data analytics team. Depending on skills and specific areas of interest, responsibilities and projects could include business analysis for data-related initiatives; data analytics; data engineering; and/or data science.

MAIN DUTIES

- Engage with stakeholders to identify (and document) business requirements and expected outcomes, around data/analytics. Discuss business requirements with technical team to help build technical requirements.
- Support individuals and teams across Welocalize with a variety of needs around data collection, governance and analysis.
- Use analysis techniques, and Welocalize's BI platform, to produce reports/data products/analyses.
- Support the Analytics Solutions team with data analytics, data engineering and data science projects.
- Analyze, understand and fix the data in systems and files – to improve the quality of data, and improve Welocalize's ability to make decisions based on that data.
- Maintain, update and own a backlog/road map of multiple workstreams/projects; and report regularly on progress and blockers.

Required qualifications

- Education: current university student or recent graduate, preferable with a "data focus" in one of these fields: business; computer science/information systems; or mathematics/statistics.
- Some training/coursework in data-related topics, for example: data visualization, data engineering/integration, database administration, statistics and/or data science.

Required skills

- Comfortable and confident talking with people across cultures, job functions, seniority levels; and collaborating remotely, using video conferencing tools.
-  Interest in learning/developing skills such as data- and analytics- related technologies, driving business outcomes with data and data projects, professionalism and business communication
- Proactive in driving assigned tasks and long-term initiatives to completion.
- Flexible attitude with the ability to effectively multi-task, undertaking a diverse slate of projects ensuring quality on-time deliverables.
- Exceptional attention to detail, and the ability/patience to follow the "plan-do-check-act cycle" repeatedly until high-quality technical solutions are achieved.
