The Insight & Analytics Partner is a key member of Welocalize’s Business Operations team. This individual will serve as the primary data analyst for the Operations leaders this role is partnered with. This role will leverage data and information to provide proactive analysis of operational and quality performance; to solve complex business challenges; and to measure progress and performance of assigned Objectives and Key Results (OKRs). In addition, the Insight & Analytics Partner will evangelize data literacy, and will mentor/coach Operations leadership on applying information to solve problems and identify opportunities to improve business outcomes through the use of analytics.

Main Duties

    • Work across functions/domains to support the adoption of analytical approaches for the business. Ensure accuracy and consistent usage of information and views available to Operations.
    • Leverage data to answer critical business questions from all management levels, including executives and customers.
    • Liaise with Program Operations and squad leadership to define the information required to monitor and report performance for assigned OKRs.
    • Produce information views (such as reports/dashboards) necessary to enable the Program Operations leadership to publish and explain OKR financial and operational performance in an accurate and consistent fashion.
    • Train and mentor team members on which information views to use, how to interpret information and what actions may be necessary to improve performance.
    • Serve as level 1 subject matter expert in the analytical tools leveraged by the Operations team (e.g., Power BI).
    • Coordinate with business and data engineering stakeholders to ensure robust and useful data models, and high data quality. Liaise with Data Strategy & Operations team in the submission, prioritization, and development of new data requirements. Participate in cross-functional teams/committees to support data analytics, data governance, data quality, etc.
    • Participate/lead in the creation, testing and updating of internal tools, process documentation and training materials, to best support stakeholders, as and when required.

Requirements

    • Must have a passion to utilize analytics and information to measure and explain business performance.
    • 3 years as a business analyst (or similar), regularly engaging with stakeholders to understand and improve their processes, systems, tools and data. Preferred: 5+ years’ experience.
    • 2 years experience producing professional information views (e.g., reports and dashboards) using a common BI/data visualization platform such as: Power BI (preferred), Tableau, QlikView or Looker.  Preferred: 3+ years' experience.
    • Highly data-literate. Collect, organize, analyze, visualize, and disseminate significant amounts of data and information from various sources, with attention to detail and accuracy and able to coach, mentor and train others on the same.
    • Proven track record of diagnosing complex business problems by asking questions and leveraging data.
    • Proactively take ownership of ongoing initiatives and assigned tasks, under the guidance of Operations leadership.
    • Understanding of company and Operations OKRs, financial and operational KPIs.
    • Positive attitude towards automation and new technologies.
    • Positive attitude in the face of adversity or change.
    • A self-starter who can work both independently and as part of a team.
    • Flexible attitude with the ability to effectively multi-task, undertaking a diverse slate of projects ensuring quality on-time deliverables.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of tools: Excel (including formula functions e.g., VLOOKUP; pivot tables; formatting proficiency, etc.); PowerPoint; Word.
    • Fluent in both spoken and written English (“Proficient” user according to Common European Framework (CEF), for Non-US applicants)
    • Minimum of a BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
