About the Role:

Imperfect is looking for an Analytics Manager to join our Business Intelligence team. You will be leading and professionally developing a team of analysts, overseeing project and issue prioritization, cultivating processes and standards, and supporting the delivery of analyses and insights that impact the entire company. We're looking for someone with a strong level of analytical horsepower to effectively analyze, and a communication style that can tell the story behind the data. Responsibilities:

    • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the business, build positive relationships across departments, and partner with teams to use data to drive the best decisions and outcomes
    • Lead the analytics team to efficiently and effectively undertake multifaceted data challenges, and mentor and elevate team members
    • Oversee metrics reporting, data-driven analyses, and insights for strategic business initiatives, while maintaining the analytics roadmap to prioritize initiatives, communicate timelines, and ensure successful, timely completion of outcomes
    • Manage sprint tasks, and end-user facing ticketing system, along with the prioritization and assignment of work for the team
    • Collaborate with the teams across the company to identify impactful business problems and translate them into structured analysis, useable insights, and reports and dashboards
    • Build and maintain scalable infrastructure, tooling, and processes to provide seamless access to data and insights

Skills & Qualifications:

    • 6+ years in analytics, business intelligence, or related field, with:
    • 3+ years direct people management of technical resources
    • 3+ years of operational responsibility in ETL, data pipeline, data engineering, or related
    • Airtight quantitative skills including expert proficiency with SQL, working with large data sets, data modeling and transformation, and an ability to design and lead with best practices
    • Adept at turning obscure analyses into impactful recommendations for the business
    • Consistent track record in leading multiple data analysts on delivering projects, ensuring that the quality of findings and processes remain outstanding as the organization scales rapidly, and developing technical skills sets while preparing technical contributors for the next level
    • Nice-to-haves: Proficiency with data analysis and visualization tools (Mode Analytics, Amplitude), other analysis languages (Python, R), data pipelines, ETL (dbt), data warehousing (Snowflake), and statistical modeling tools.

Details of the Position:

    • Full-time, exempt position reports to the Director of Business Intelligence and is available immediately
    • Candidate can be remotely located within the US
    • Salary and stock options commensurate with experience

Physical Requirements:

    • Sedentary work; involves sitting most of the time
    • Occasional movement around the office may be necessary; or in a remote, work from home environment

How we are protecting employees from COVID-19

At Imperfect Foods, employee health and safety is our top priority. We have implemented processes and precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our facilities. We provide gloves, masks, and hand sanitizer to all essential employees who must report to work. Before entering our warehouse, employees have their temperatures checked. In addition, we take great care to ensure frequently touched surfaces are sanitized throughout the day and all warehouses are fully sanitized weekly.

We have also implemented an Emergency Sick Leave policy providing full-time and part-time employees 2 additional weeks of paid time off and up to 26 weeks paid leave if they have a confirmed case of COVID-19.
