We are seeking a talented  Business Analyst to join our Research Analytics and Learning (ReAL) Product Team to work across many of our programs. This role will be responsible for working with the data science, product and clinical operations teams to understand key program monitoring requirements and to measure the success of initiatives across Evidation by owning reporting dashboards and product-related quantitative analyses. Successful candidates will thrive on using numbers and communication skills to help understand programs/products, and to help Evidation make data-driven decisions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner cross-functionally with colleagues in product, clinical operations, engineering, health outcomes, data science, and partner organizations to provide input into key monitoring requirements for various programs at Evidation. 
  • Own building and maintaining of queries and reporting dashboard UI for key initiatives across programs at Evidation. Develop and automate reports and prototype dashboards to provide insights at scale. 
  • Work to effectively turn business and program questions into data analysis, synthesize data findings, flag potential issues and trends, and provide meaningful recommendations on strategies.
  • Ensure understanding and clear documentation of various data fields and data dictionaries (incl. definitions, formats, validation rules) by working with engineering, product, and partners.
  • Work with the product teams to provide input on tools, technologies, infrastructure, features and workflows around dashboards and data. 
  • Deliver effective written and verbal communications of findings and recommendations based on various stakeholder needs, creating visual displays and written summaries of quantitative information.
  • Work with the teams to launch new programs, products and features, incl. to define success metrics and resulting data collection and analysis needs, measure their performance against key metrics, and iterate on data analysis quickly based on learnings.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field of study with 2+ years of relevant work experience or Master’s degree with 1+ years of relevant work experience
  • Excellent SQL skills 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to partner cross-functionally in the organization 
  • Experience articulating product questions, pulling data from datasets (SQL) and using data to arrive at an answer.
  • Demonstrated rigor in analytical thinking ability and a hunger to drill into problems
  • Demonstrated ability to clarify requirements and  break down ambiguous problems into quantitative analyses

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and provide determination through complex projects 
  • Experience in an interdisciplinary/cross-functional field.
  • Interest and aptitude in working with data, metrics, analysis and trends and applied knowledge of measurement, statistics and program evaluation.
  • Prior experience with data tools like Tableau, Looker, and/or AWS QuickSight
  • Experience using Python and Pyspark
