We’re looking for a technical contributor who can help drive innovation on how we collect and use real-world data to develop novel health measures and insights that delight members. Our work lies at the intersection of many diverse fields including machine learning, signal processing, and epidemiology, and in this role you will be driving projects that harness vast amounts of time series data from wearables, sensors, and other mobile data to develop products, features, and models that elevate the member experience and improve health engagement. The ideal candidate will be a self motivated and creative data scientist who is comfortable working across a variety of projects, applying a principled approach to both technical and product problem solving.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide analytical support to product teams to help assess which product features drives participant health engagement and product satisfaction
• Work closely with other members of the data science and engineering teams to develop and deploy data science products, features, and models into the core member experience
• Communicate analytical product insights and strategies to the broader organization
• Develop tools and libraries that help scale the analytical work the team does

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications:

• Hands on experience building analytical (data science) products
• A high degree of comfort utilizing open source data science tools (e.g. python/R, pandas/tidyverse, spark, sklearn/caret, SQL)
• A solid conceptual (ideally practical) understanding of software engineering tools, best practices, and design patterns
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; and the ability to work collaboratively with a variety of teams in a fast paced environment
• A scientific product-development mindset that puts member satisfaction at the forefront of all decision making
• An attitude of ownership and the ability to drive forward initiatives under ambiguity with minimal supervision
