Description
Manheim continues to focus on expanding resource planning and analytics capabilities. We are looking for a senior analytical thought leader to help us broaden our reporting and modeling deliverables by assessing business needs and applying technical expertise. The Business Intelligence Sr. Manager will be tasked with identifying areas of opportunity across Manheim, working with technology teams to source data, and delivering functional dashboards and scenario models that support a broad range of functional areas.
Primary Duties
- Serve as established subject matter expert on Manheim Workforce Analytics as well as the associated data related to operational measurement
- Lead and facilitate meetings with business leaders to help identify the underlying needs of the business
- Understand the structure and business usage of the underlying data to formulate how the data and business needs are connected
- Translate business needs into reporting elements by turning qualitative descriptions into quantitative measures
- Create best-in-class dashboards that provide the insights needed to drive the business forward
- Articulate and present dashboard concepts as well as related insights to leaders and partners across Manheim
- Construct resource planning models utilizing existing data and formulate data collection or aggregation strategies to incorporate additional elements
- Work closely with leaders in Technology and Data Strategy to stay apprised on new data sources, drive data acquisition and engineering efforts
- Perform in-depth investigations of data problems employing statistical skills as needed
- Challenge partners to understand and quantify the business value of requests and initiatives
- Role will function as an individual contributor in the near-term and could lead 1-2 direct reports in the future
Required Experience & Specialized Knowledge
- Bachelor’s Degree in Analytics, Computer Science, or related field required; MBA preferred or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
- 7+ years of relevant analytical experience; experience in the automotive industry preferred
- Extensive experience with visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Streamlit or Dash
- Extensive experience with data extraction and preparation via SQL, Python, or ETL tools such as Alteryx or Qlik Sense
- Extensive experience with enterprise data warehouses (AWS, Oracle, Snowflake etc.)
- General familiarity with workforce management concepts (capacity planning, productivity etc.)
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment while operating with considerable autonomy
- Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Strong financial knowledge including a working knowledge of P&L statements preferred
- Other duties as needed or required
- Requires physical ability and mental acuity to execute the duties of the position successfully within required timeframes in order to meet business requirements.
