Omada is hiring a limited-term Clinical Research Scientist – Behavioral/Data Science, with stellar statistical and writing skills to join the Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) team. Areas of concentration for this position include but are not limited to designing and executing statistical analyses for retrospective cohort studies and clinical trials and contributing to peer-reviewed manuscripts associated with those analyses. In collaboration with a cross-functional team, this role will also contribute to the study design, intervention, and analysis of quality improvement projects. This position will closely collaborate with other members of the HEOR team and reports directly to Omada’s Senior Director of Health Economics and Outcomes Research. 

About you:

You have a PhD or a Masters degree plus at least 3-5 years of experience as a clinical research psychologist, data scientist, data analyst, research scientist, etc., in an academic, non-profit, or industry setting. You have subject matter expertise in health behavior and chronic disease. You are passionate about understanding the impact of digital health behavior change programs on preventing and treating chronic diseases and driving changes in healthcare delivery. You are able to work effectively as an independent contributor in a team with diverse skill sets and to clearly communicate your findings and how they fit into the bigger picture of the organization’s goals.

You will be successful in this job if you have: 

  • PhD or MS +3-5 years of experience in biostatistics, clinical psychology, public health, epidemiology, or a related field
  • Proficiency with statistical analytic software SQL and R required
  • Experience working with Git, Jupyter or similar platform
  • Extensive experience with Excel databases
  • Ability to work with data “end to end”, including study design, statistical analysis plan, data cleaning, modeling, and interpretation
  • Experience with clinical trial and observational cohort data
  • Subject matter expertise in health behavior and chronic disease
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment as an individual contributor and as part of a team with diverse experiences and skill sets

Below is a summary of salary ranges for this role in the following geographies:

California, New York State and Washington State Base Compensation Ranges: $132,000 - $165,000*, Colorado Base Compensation Ranges: $118,800 - $148,500*. Other states may vary.

*The actual offer, including the compensation package, is determined based on multiple factors, such as the candidate's skills and experience, and other business considerations.
