The Data Analyst will be responsible for executing critical roadmap items that require data analysis, benefiting both Bonterra and our clients. As a key stakeholder on the Marketing team, you will analyze data to look for exciting trends in the nonprofit and philanthropic spaces that help teach our customers, build affinity for our brand, and help charitable organizations get more for their missions. Your challenge will be to harness that data - finding the best stats, patterns, and trends we can report on to guide them in their work — so they can raise more money, earn more supporters and volunteers, and create more impact through the grant-making and corporate philanthropy processes.
What You’ll Do
Deliver critical analyses to the company with a focus on marketing related insights
Develop data insights and analytics that will help the nonprofit community increase philanthropy, measure impact, facilitate grantmaking, and finding efficiencies.
Work in an Agile environment with team members, delivering solutions quickly and continuously exploring ways to improve our results
Work closely with colleagues in Product, Research and Development, Operations, Sales, and Marketing to structure problems and understand the impact across various departments within the company
Drive adoption of data and insights-driven decision making processes
Actively seek out new potential problems to solve, building out our future analytics Roadmap while simultaneously executing our present analyses
Working with data engineers, product engineers, product managers, data scientists and other data analysts on a routine basis.
Quantify and track the success for analytic features
Incorporate feedback from other departments, ensuring you understand the impact of our decisions on the company as a whole
Measure and present the impact of your work directly to the leadership team, quantifying the value of your progress
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in developing business analytics solutions, focusing on requirements gathering and effective visualization of insights or open to less with relevant coursework or degree (experience in an Agile environment preferred)
Experience working to solve problems through data analysis
Experience in SQL and data visualization tools (QuickSight, Tableau, plot.ly, etc.)
Experience with Python for data analytics
Be a collaborative teammate, sharing knowledge and learning from others while working through complex problems

Nice to Have
Experience using data to inform Product decisions
Experience with Jupyter or Zeppelin notebooks
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multiple functional areas of business – engineering, design, finance, sales, and marketing
Demonstrated ability to figure out solutions to hard problems with many constraints, using sound judgement to assess risks, and to lay out your argument in a well-structured, data-informed, written narrative
Experience with product management tools (ie. JIRA and Aha!) is beneficial
Compensation
The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and in addition to benefits this role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses/incentives, and equity.
US Base Salary Range: $70,000 - $89,000
