As a Senior Staff Data Engineer (Analytics), you’ll be directly embedded in a team of data scientists, engineers, and machine learning engineers to help scope, quantify, and investigate data solutions with our logistics network and user experiences. You’ll partner with teams to understand high-value business problems, build insights and pipelines that feed operational decision making, and work with cutting-edge technology.
Responsibilities Include:
- Design, implement, and automate the deployment for collecting and processing data events from multiple sources
- Design data schema and operate internal data warehouses and SQL/NoSQL database systems
- Write Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) jobs to generate critical business tables and metrics
- Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines
- Drive architectural plans and implementation for future data storage, reporting, and analytic solutions
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, related technical field, or equivalent work experience
- 6+ years of Relevant work experience in data engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of extensive experience in implementing big data processing technology: Airflow, Hadoop, Apache Spark, etc.
- 5+ years of experience using SQL queries, experience in writing and optimizing SQL queries in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets
- 5+ years of detailed knowledge of data warehouse technical architecture, infrastructure components, ETL and reporting/analytic tools and environments
$200,000 - $230,000 a year
The base salary range for this position is $200,000-$230,000 and will be dependent upon a number of factors, such as education, work experience, skills and location. Additionally, Veho offers a competitive equity package, comprehensive medical, dental and vision coverage as well as other benefits such as 401k and unlimited PTO.
