The Role
The data engineering team at Zeus is a small but fast-moving team. Our goal is to deliver high-quality data systems to support data analytics, data science, and business teams. We love building robust, scalable products with the latest technologies. We’re looking for an enthusiastic and quick-learning Data Engineer who will help build and maintain the backbone of the Zeus data system.
In this role you will be responsible for the various pipelines that integrate the systems that run Zeus. You’ll be building and maintaining data pipelines that leverage Snowflake, Airflow, Kafka, and using python and sql as your main tools. We work quickly to develop high quality products.
This role reports to the Data Engineering Lead
What You’ll Do
- Use python and SQL to integrate our various first and third party systems
- Maintain and utilize data engineering systems like Snowflake, S3, Docker, Kubernetes, Airflow, Kafka, and others
- Test and monitor to ensure pipeline health
- Build and maintain web scrapers that collect essential data
- Interface with all departments to ensure that they have the data they need in a timely manner
- Advise and support the engineering team on data best-practices
What You Bring
- A solid background in python and sql for data manipulation
- Experience writing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines in production
- Ability to self manage and work independently
- Understanding of Kubernetes, Airflow, Snowflake, Kafka, and other data engineering systems.
