The Role
In this role you will be aligned with multiple teams across the company and will provide analytical insights and support for these teams to improve decision making. This is a high visibility role in the business with opportunities to interact with senior leadership and potentially grow an analytics team.
The day-to-day work varies, ranging from exploratory analysis based on broad business questions to building KPI reporting that the company can make decisions on. The work will also require someone to think critically to find new ways in which data can be used and where there are opportunities to make more data-driven decisions. This position will report directly to the VP of Data and will interact daily with product managers and department heads.
Candidates for this position must be based in the US or Canada for time zone overlap. #LI-Remote
What You Will Do:
- Identify drivers of key metrics through data analytics, including Key Performance Indicators. Partner with product and operational teams to improve those metrics.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs to ensure alignment on the development of data analytics solutions. This includes refining ambiguous questions and generating new hypotheses about the product and business through a deep understanding of the data, our customers, and our business.
- Work with data engineers to provide reporting & data for individual and cross-functional teams.
- Communicate results of analyses in a clear and actionable way to business stakeholders.
- Design experiments and interpret the results to draw detailed and impactful conclusions.
- Support the hiring, mentorship, and retention of Data Analysts at the company.
What We Are Looking For:
- 2-3 years experience as a Data Analyst at a high-growth tech company
- Proven problem solver who can quickly assess quantitative data sets and distill key insights using analytics and statistical methods
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with partners coming from both technical and non-technical backgrounds
- Team player that can work on cross functional projects across multiple departments
- Familiar with data analytics platforms such as Looker
- Experience with visual analytics is a plus
- Proficient in SQL and Python
