The Data Pipeline team within Data Science and Engineering is an integral unit that serves internal stakeholders. It develops an easy-to-use platform for engineers to create, schedule, and run their data workloads. We mainly focus on the developer experience of ML and DS folks, the system's performance and robustness, and cost-effectiveness.

Data Science and Engineering consist of a mix of data engineers & analysts owning & collaborating on multiple projects. As a Data Pipeline team member, you will use world-class analytical, engineering, and data processing techniques to build the foundational infrastructure, tooling, and analytical capabilities and enable the business to move forward.


Challenges you will tackle

  • Build a platform to enable data teams to iterate fast and write & execute their data workloads reliably and robustly.
  • Ensure high data quality and integrity across multiple data sources, and automate data validation.
  • Make the infrastructure costs observable, transparent, and effective.
  • You are skilled at building and maintaining data ingestion pipelines.
  • You excel at Apache Spark
  • You excel at Python, Scala or Java
  • You have proficiency with any variant of SQL
  • You have deep experience with the big data stack (data query engines, metadata stores, schedulers, data queues, etc.) and are capable of designing and engineering data platform and its processes.
  • You have a basic knowledge of cloud services, like AWS EC2, S3, Glue, IAM, Athena, Lambda, ECS.
  • You are knowledgeable when it comes to different types of data storages, their use cases and trade offs
