We are seeking a Data Eng I to join our Data organization to help build out our Risk Analytics team focusing focus on risk and regulations. This Analyst will create insight into the growth of our business, partnering closely with the engineering, legal & compliance, and operations.
Building reporting that meets state, federal and international regulatory requirements is a top priority for this analyst, and other priorities include deeply understanding our business operations, identifying ways to improve operations and reduce risk, and supporting our business as it launches and grows.

Responsibilities

    • Develop a strong understanding of Fanatics Betting and Gaming.
    • Contribute to hiring and developing all analysts across the Business Intelligence vertical.
    • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders in engineering, legal & compliance, operations, commercial, and external regulatory authorities.
    • Design and develop BI solutions according to industry best practices.
    • Be a hands-on analyst - leading by example, teaching and learning.
    • Gather and present insights metrics and activities to key stakeholders, becoming a trusted source of intelligence and advisory over time.
    • Remain current on technology and trends in data analytics and the sports betting & gaming world.

Experience and Skills

    • Strong analytical skills, with ability to extract data from prepared sources and transform it into both ad-hoc and structured continuous insights
    • Demonstrated ability to partner closely with engineers and stakeholders, earning trust and prioritizing relationships
    • Experience working in high-growth environments, preferably B2C
    • Highly outcome oriented and data driven.
    • Experience in Experimentation, A/B Testing, Optimization
    • Experience with data languages including SQL and R or Python, and tools like Tableau, Microstrategy, Redshift, or Snowflake
    • Excellent influencing and problem resolution skills.
    • Positive and flexible attitude, a willingness to embrace new initiatives and develop expertise in the Operations function of the business
    • Strong report writing skills with the ability to gather, evaluate and analyze relevant information while structuring material in a logical and coherent manner.
    • Open to regular travel to events and other Fanatics offices for various offsite and team meetings
The base salary range for this role is $102,000 per year - $153,000 per year, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This role is eligible for the Fanatics Betting and Gaming annual bonus program and an equity award.In addition to the base, bonus, and equity, full-time employees are eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, paid time off and other benefits like GymPass, Pet Insurance, Family Care Benefits, Free Shipt deliveries, and more.
