The Senior Manager of Business Intelligence should bring excellent strategic thinking, demonstrated abilities to build and develop leaders on their team, scale teams to the opportunities ahead and provide hands on engineering when appropriate. A successful candidate should be well versed in using most of the Modern Business Intelligence tools available in the market and lead the team in make customer delighting Analytical Products.

What you'll be doing:

    • Bring a Mindset of building great Analytical Products using Business Intelligence Platforms Like MicroStrategy, Tableau, PowerBI and Open Source Tools
    • Define methodologies and coach team members on core skills, including: user research and requirements gathering; stakeholder management including how to build trust, gain alignment, and streamline decision making; and effective project management, including balancing scope, schedule, prioritization, and sprints to maximize value delivered
    • Drive accountability by ensuring high quality operational monitoring, analysis and continuous improvement of enforcement and KPIs
    • Work with cross-functional stakeholders to establish shared goals and bring role/scope clarity in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment
    • Craft and lead team to its vision: drive impact towards goals, and work leaders across the organization on strategies for executing, measuring progress, and sharing results
    • Build strategic relationships with global and cross-functional teams to understand and anticipate risks to the company, and develop global solutions for monitoring operations and responding to external events
    • Work with data engineering/data science and other analytics teams to establish data sources that serve teams' business needs, identifying and advocating for process improvements and industry best practices (e.g. metric definitions)
    • Drive accountability by ensuring high quality operational monitoring, analysis and continuous improvement of enforcement and KPIs

What we're looking for:

    • 5+ years of hands on experience with Microstrategy BI Platform (preferably version 10 and above)
    • 12+ years of work experience in analytics, consulting, or an operational capacity
    • 5+ years of people management experience with experience managing global teams
    • Experience engaging in conceptual technical discussions with data engineering partners, with experience sharing technical concepts to non-technical audiences
    • Experience solving problems using data and providing business insights with experience driving operational improvements
    • Demonstrated experience influencing cross functional boundaries and/or globally
    • Operational analytics and process improvement experience
    • Experience working with and/or discussing highly sensitive topics
    • Preferred Degree in STEM field (e.g. Statistics, Data Science, Math, Physics, Information Systems, Operations Research or equivalent) with experience in Business Intelligence/Analytics
    • Experience scaling and leading analytical teams (e.g. Data Analysts, Business Intelligence Analysts, etc.)
    • Experience with data analysis & visualization tools (e.g. SQL, Excel, Tableau)
    • 3+ years experience in the Trust & Safety space, or in another adversarial space such as fraud, risk, etc.
    • Experience with predictive or descriptive analytics and working with machine learning teams
