The Role:
We are seeking a Director to build out and lead our Business Intelligence group. This role reports to our VP of Data and is responsible for insights and analytics within Fanatics Betting and Gaming. The leader who fits this role will be experienced at growing analytics operations and will have sports industry expertise.
 
Duties and responsibilities may include:
      Build out a best in class business analyst group, designed to support the organization's decision-making, create ad share insights
      Develop and communicate standards and procedures for the analyst group
      Develop processes and forums to share insights to the company. This person embodies a “teaching” mentality and prioritizes relationships and information sharing
      Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including the executive leadership team, engineering, product, marketing, legal, ops and more
      Provide leadership and expertise within the data org.  Be a mentor and role model
      Partner with engineering both within Data group and across other engineering domains
 
What skills are important to us:
      Experience with growing & leading multiple large analytical teams, and partnering with data engineering to develop strategic data assets and improve the data platform       
      Expertise in business intelligence methods and standards, focused on descriptive analytics and experimentation
      Strong strategic thinking, written and verbal communication, and resource prioritization skills
      Emphasis on trust-building and ability to quickly make decisions that usually turn out well
      Desire to build an operation from scratch in a fast-paced environment
