About the Role:
As a Data Engineering team you will be charged with growing and leading our core data team who are focused on building out world class data models and pipelines that feed our Data Science and analytics team at the company. You will be working on the intersection of all data streams in the company from our IOT data consuming 100s of thousands of data points per minute to our sales and marketing data. You will partner closely with both the Data Science as well as the Strategic Analytics teams. We are seeking strong team players who thrive on innovation and continuous improvement. What You'll Do:
- Building out the team with senior data engineers
- Use Jira or equivalents for managing team projects
- Building designs and helping architect our data infrastructure
- Communicate effectively across multiple teams and projects.
- Actively work on deploying Data Ops into KT, driving the most robust data models using the latest tools in the market
- You will be working with airflow, aws, great expectations and table creation frameworks similar to dbt.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field, e.g. Computer Science, Math, Economics, or Statistics
- 5+ years experience in Data Engineering, including experience building modeled tables
- 2+ years of managing a team
- Solid communication, collaboration, and people skills
- Expertise in SQL and Python
- Willingness to learn new technologies
