How you will help
As part of our Data Operations team, you'll focus on using advanced frameworks, data integration and machine learning tools to deliver scalable real-world data operations while establishing trust and integrity in data at the point of use. As a Senior Analyst, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution
What you will do
• Analyze all vendor data assets and correct complex data anomalies
• Provide guidance and support during the vendor on-boarding process which includes data ingestion, normalization, and QC activities
• Provide expertise in at least 4 or more healthcare data types: medical claims transactions (e.g. 837 and 835), pharmacy claims (NCPDP D.0), EMR/EHR (OMOP, FHIR, CCDA, HL7), lab transactions, and other emerging data assets
• Leverage experience with the implementation of Data Integration tools, such as SnapLogic, Mulesoft, Databricks, AWS Kinesis & Glue, Azure Data Factory, Informatica Cloud etc.
• Provide Data Source mapping and normalization SQL for incoming feeds, adhering to prescribed standards
• Use feedback and reflection to develop self-awareness, personal strengths and address development areas
• Delegate to others to provide stretch opportunities, coaching them to deliver results
• Demonstrate critical thinking and the ability to bring order to unstructured problems
• Use straightforward communication, in a structured way, when influencing and connecting with others
• Support your leads with the development of data integration for full-scale operational and organizational transformations
• Review your work and that of others for quality, accuracy and relevance
• Delivers high-quality work through effective unit testing and peer review, modeling the lowest defect rates on the team
• Know how and when to use tools available for a given situation and can explain the reasons for this choice
• Perform as a collaborative team member with the willingness to assist junior staff
• Monitors data products in marketplace warehouse for consistency and understands client use cases
• Uphold HealthVerity's code of ethics and business conduct
How success will be defined
• Successfully contributes to onboarding new suppliers within 2 months
• Submits code for testing with a low defect rate
Required skills and experience
• 10+ years of experience in a data-related position with direct experience with data warehouse design, implementation, and operation
• 5+ years of experience in healthcare/technology-related field
• Experience working with data querying and processing utilizing SQL, Python/PySpark, DataBricks Notebooks and similar technologies
• Deep understanding of healthcare data such as claims, EHR, EMR, 837s, 835s and oncology datasets
• Applying communication and presentation skills, comfortable working with a variety of senior-level stakeholders
Desired skills and experience
• Experience related to multi-cloud/hybrid cloud data integration solutions
• Capable of leveraging DevOps techniques and practices like CI/CD, test automation, build automation and test-driven development to enable rapid delivery of working code utilizing tools like Jenkins and Git
• Performance tuning and query optimization for Spark SQL
Base salary for the role is commensurate with experience and can range between $70,000 - 190,000 + annual bonus opportunity.

While HealthVerity does support remote work with quarterly travel to our Philadelphia headquarters, our strong preference is to hire team members in the areas below as well as approved states in the Eastern Time Zone. Expansion beyond these markets will occur only when necessary.
