You'll be joining the Data Analytics team within Academic Partnership's Strategy function. Our team advances the organization's mission by:
Partnering with our university clients to identify student experience and university value proposition improvements through a mix of advanced analytics, benchmarking, and thought partnership
Partnering with operational leaders to implement analytics & data science innovations that improve student experiences and operational efficiencies
Establishing our advanced analytics capabilities as the benchmark for the industry
A Day in the Life:
The essential functions of this role are as follows:
Scope potential AI/ML initiatives that deliver impact for our university partners, for students, and for our business
Drive AI/ML experimentation by gathering data, designing alternative analytical approaches, building models, and communicating results
Identify opportunities to trial new technologies or tools within our business, ensuring our advanced analytics "toolkit" leads our peers
Partner with Business Analysts within our team and operational leaders across the organization to operationalize the advanced analytics tools you build
Establish counseling relationships with colleagues across the business from the frontline through executive leadership
Develop our team through mentorship and apprenticeship of your immediate teammates, and analytics professionals outside of our team
You will be supported by our Data Analytics team - a mix of career analytics professionals, experienced operators with great analytics chops, and previous consultants - and by the greater Strategy function.
What You’ll Need for Success:
You must meet the following requirements to be considered for employment:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, such as computer science, econometrics, mathematics, or engineering. A Master’s degree or PhD is a bonus, but not necessary.
At least 2 years of experience delivering advanced analytics in a professional setting.
A proven track record of delivering AI/ML experiments and operationalized tools
Experience as a workstream leader, scoping, designing, and managing the implementation of AI/ML projects
Expertise in established advanced analytics approaches and technology
Comfort working with data and analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Python, Azure Synapse, Databricks)
Great collaboration and communication abilities, especially when communicating the results of a data science experiment
Familiarity with the education industry gives you a great springboard, but is not necessary
