We are looking for Data Scientists (from mid level to senior) to join FindHotel and help us push our data-driven organisation to even higher levels. We are looking people with a strong background in Machine Learning, Statistics and Programming, and with proven experience applying Machine Learning to real business problems. You will be leading a variety of projects within our company to empower users find their ideal accommodation. 

What you will do:

• Design, build and test data-driven services that use machine learning and statistics to make our platform as effective as possible: e.g by providing visitors the recommendations that are most relevant to them.
• Help to improve our content mapping algorithm (record linkage/deduplication).
• Contribute to our deal prediction/discount detection efforts.
• Fine tune our hotel sorting algorithm by continuously trying/testing new methodologies and help us ingest more users, content and price-related data.
• Ensure content sorting and selection for our platform (image/text quality assessment).
• Perform real-time pricing and conversion optimisation at scale.

Who you are:

• You have excellent Python and SQL skills.
• You are interested in and willing to learn about the travel industry.
• You have a solid mathematical background (from statistics to calculus).
• You have the ability and interest to work with huge amounts of high-dimensional travel data.
• You have experience with modern Python ML stack and concepts [gradient boosters, neural networks (NN) architectures, feature extraction, online/offline validation approaches].
• You have at least 3 years of experience in productionizing complex pipelines (ML or any other quantitative development environment).
• You have experience in building scalable algorithms, you have some knowledge about computational complexity and data structures.
• Experience in any of the following problems is a plus: record linkage (image and text similarity), price prediction, named entity recognition/textual data normalisation, learning to rank, reinforcement learning.
