Will you join us on a journey to disrupt the trillion-dollar travel industry? Are you a product and business-driven Analyst looking for their next adventure?

FindHotel believes travel is the one thing that opens minds to new ideas, cultures, and ways of thinking. Our mission is to get every traveler the best accommodation deal, worldwide. From adventure travel and backpacking to honeymoons and family vacations, we genuinely care so that every traveller can make the best-informed accommodation choice at the absolute best conditions for every trip.

We are looking for a passionate, motivated and pragmatic Product Analyst, preferably with experience in Payment analytics, to join our Online Travel Agency (OTA) Tribe and drive our booking experience analytics. You will be the second Analyst in the tribe, and will be performing a hands-on role. You will contribute as a generalist (Payments, Finance, Product, User behaviour, Customer Support) across the tribe, and will primarily focus on payment and finance analytics. We are looking for a driven expert who understands e-commerce, and who has the technical and analytical skills to make sense of the mountain of data our users generate and support the teams and operations of the OTA tribe with analysis, experimentation, tracking and prioritisation.

What you will do

  • Perform in-depth analysis on user behaviour data to discover insights and optimise the user experience;
  • Analyse and interpret A/B test results and contribute to ideation and prioritisation of A/B tests;
  • Work closely with the Product Owners and Tribe Lead to provide guidance on and influence goals, roadmaps and priorities;
  • Support tracking across our products and teams, and build data models and dashboards to visualise it in Looker, our BI software, in collaboration with Data Engineers;
  • Own payment and fraud analytics;
  • Support financial reporting and customer support with data and tracking;
  • Communicate proactively and educate the rest of the company with insights and best practices.

What a day in the office might look like

You start the day by checking up on the product dashboards and A/B tests to see if anything requires attention. During the daily stand-up you raise issues you identified regarding payment acceptance rate and conversion rates of one of our supply partners and suggest improvements to deal with them. Before lunch you improve the data model and dashboard used by the finance team to measure their progress. After a team lunch you meet with the team to brainstorm new experimentation ideas and prioritise the backlog to deliver the most value to customers. At the end of the day you set aside time to deep dive into the latest payment method that we implemented in the checkout and write-up your insights and recommendations on how to evolve payment methods in the next iterations.

The team: Product owners, UX designers, developers, data scientists and engineers.
