In this role, you will contribute to outfit algorithms, one of the core capabilities of our personalized shopping experience. Outfits make it easy for customers to see which items go together, so they don’t have to spend time sifting through hundreds of options. Because outfits make shopping simpler and easier, they are a prioritized part of our business.

More broadly, Stitch Fix’s Freestyle is a growing and exciting area for the business in which you will get the opportunity to lead work cross-functionally with Strategy, Product, Merchandising, Marketing, and Engineering partners to build these capabilities from the ground up! 

YOU'RE EXCITED ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY BECAUSE YOU WILL…

• Solve problems related to personalization, recommendations and ranking, seasonality and diversity, category generation and discovery, multimodal search, latent representation, etc. 
• Build experimentally validated, algorithmic capabilities that deliver personalized content to clients from the ground up – completely 0 to 1
• Productionize models together with our very helpful data platform team for real-time applications 
• Leverage unique data about our clients, our merchandise, and their interactions across all Stitch Fix surfaces to build the next generation of the Stitch Fix experience
• Work with our product and engineering teams to create roadmaps for developing new client products, user features, data flywheels, and infrastructure

• You have production machine learning experience and are proficient in deploying apps in Python
• You have a degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Physics or a related field.
• You have strong cross-functional, communication skills that help simplify and move complex problems forward with business partners
