We are looking for a leader to build out a Data Analytics team whose mission is to deliver actionable insights throughout the organization, champion a metrics-driven culture within 1Password, and empower self-serve analytics while assuring customer privacy and data integrity are upheld.
The Director, Data Analytics, will assume a leadership role in building a team that can deliver comprehensive reporting & analytics capabilities at 1Password. A successful candidate will be action-oriented and diagnose our current challenges with data and implement a plan to level up all things data related. They will build trust with key stakeholders by providing accurate and consistent reporting and analysis to make data-driven decisions.
In this role you will be expected to be hands-on with direct ownership of our most important key metrics while also building out the team and processes to meet the requirements of teams across the organization.
This is a Remote opportunity within the United States & Canada.
What we're looking for:
- 6+ Years in a Data Analytics role in a SaaS company with experience as a team lead and people manager
- First hand experience building and scaling data teams within a high growth organization
- An analytical, detail driven problem solver with a keen eye for uncovering actionable insights that can be applied to drive the business
- Able to identify needs, develop effective solutions, and manage projects through to completion
- Strong attention to detail and a testing mentality
- Great communication and storytelling skills
- An ability to engage with all levels of the organization, including our leadership team
- Experience working with modern BI tools (e.g. Looker, Mode, Tableau, PowerBI, etc.) – we use Looker here
What you can expect:
- Review our existing data processes and resourcing and identify a plan to scale and grow our analytics capabilities
- Partner with our Data Engineering team to share ownership and accountability for all data systems, tools, and processes at 1Password
- Create and own a data validation, proactively identify and resolve inconsistencies to ensure we build trust and have integrity in our data
- Work with cross-functional stakeholders to intake their data requirements and develop a roadmap to implement solutions that can lead to data driven decisions
- Oversee the performance of data analysts and provide coaching and direction when needed
- Define what KPIs are needed to support business processes & strategic planning
- Build data-driven stories to drive decision making throughout the organization
- Provide expert project leadership and guidance to the team
