ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Director of Analytics to join the Data team. You will develop and coach the current team of analysts and grow the team to meet the demands of the rapidly expanding organization. You will get to design the foundations of our approach to self-serve analytics, business stakeholder management, and insight generation. 

The ideal candidate knows the ins and outs of data analytics and visualization, can build robust frameworks around how and when we answer questions, and is passionate about making a difference in our members‘ lives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Uses analysis to identify the key touch points/factors that drive business decision-maker behavior and sets the roadmap that will drive Calibrate’s strategy, creative, mobile app and site optimization
  • Design and manage measurement systems for data capture and reporting
  • Identification, assessment, and managing implementation of data sources and tracking solutions
  • Identification, assessment, and managing implementation of technologies
  • Responsible for building and maintaining a team of high-impact data analysts
  • Acts as primary day-to-day contact on measurement system project development and execution; facilitates communication and defines roles and responsibilities amongst all parties including internal, client, and third party
  • Partners with Data Engineering to enable availability and ensure accuracy of data
  • Partners with Data Science to incorporate predictive model outputs and identify opportunities for new models

BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE

  • 8+ years of experience in data analytics or similar roles, including 4 years of people management
  • Experience with leveraging data visualization tools (e.g., Looker) and building dashboards for user friendly accessibility
  • Experience in the analysis of large data sets to find useful relationships (data mining)
  • Strong analytical skills with understanding of statistical techniques: hypothesis development, designing tests/experiments, analyzing data, drawing conclusions, and developing actionable recommendations
  • Experience with statistical analysis software products (e.g., R/Python), research design, and a track record of implementing data and analytics driven solutions that impact our end-users
  • Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with business leaders and develop research programs to support business goals in a changing media landscape
  • Knowledge of visual techniques for data analysis and presentation
  • Experience working with data warehouses (e.g., BigQuery) and SQL interfaces 
  • Knowledge of web measurement technologies and B2C/B2B digital  measurement and optimization a plus!
