Torch is looking for an Event Marketer to own and create interactions and experiences - big and small. As the first Event Marketer on the team, you’ll be at the heart of our field marketing strategy, connecting Torch to prospects and current clients. You’ll plan, promote, and execute dozens of events as well as account-based marketing tactics to spread the word about Torch.

We want someone who can think through scaling our community and also has a keen eye for how to utilize this channel to amplify marketing and sales goals.

Objectives

    • Plan and execute online (ie: webinars) and in-person events (ie: conferences, trade shows, private VIP events) that build our brand awareness and accelerate pipeline development for sales. 
    • Research and understand different audience segments and build an events calendar to support each initiative.
    • Measure and share the ROI for each type of event.
    • Initiate, test, and evaluate other types of events to build brand awareness and generate leads, such as Slack community, meetups, executive summits, small-group trainings, etc.
    • Responsible for end-to-end event program planning, project management, and logistics from initial planning to post-event program follow up. 
    • Manage all aspects of event coordination including: strategy, objectives materials creation, event messaging/marketing, signage, giveaways, contract negotiation, vendor relations, site selection, registration, agenda scheduling, staffing, on-site production and F&B, & logistics.
    • Support Content Marketing Manager with ABM direct mail efforts to target audience segments.

Competencies

    • 3-5 years of experience in event/field marketing and project management.
    • 2+ years of marketing for B2B high-tech products/solutions.
    • You're experienced in creating efficient processes, clear expectation setting, and managing competing priorities.
    • Extremely detail-oriented and organized, and able to meet deadlines.
    • Keen ability to set priorities and build a holistic event strategy  across the customer journey.
    • Scrappy and adaptable. Able to maximize lean resources as we rapidly scale our marketing org.
    • Skilled at using data to continually optimize and improve events.
    • Direct mail experience is preferred.
    • Strong project management and production skills with ability to effortlessly manage event strategy and execution in a collaborative environment. 
    • High level of self-awareness, EQ, humility, and willingness to coach and guide those who don’t know as much about event planning.
