Wisetack is developing a cutting-edge Finance & Treasury team to engineer a new type of treasury function through automation (scaling the business) and data insights (shaping the business).
We are seeking a Finance Data Analyst who will be an integral part in scaling the business through automation, data integrity efforts and data projects for key business stakeholders. This opportunity will be responsible for partnering with much of the organization to plan, build and expand processes related to treasury and other finance related functions. A successful candidate will find joy in automating workflows, engineering ETL processes, working with large datasets and converting data into insights. Our team is critical to conducting Wisetack’s financial operations.
Job responsibilities
- Perform finance related daily operations for loan originations and secondary transactions with bank partners and loan investors
- Process automation – initiate, engineer and maintain tools and dashboards used to streamline different business functions and analyses
- Work cross-functionally with every part of the business to transform business initiatives and problems into scalable and viable solutions
- Empower Customer Support, Product, Partnerships and other Finance team members by being a subject matter expert and resource for loan data and ETL processes
- Perform ad hoc data analysis projects and clearly communicate insights to both internal and external business partners
- Identify, document and administer changes to enhance controls and mitigate risk
- Develop and implement data integrity frameworks and monitor these strategies for both internal and external data sources
Candidate requirements
- 2+ years professional experience (role will be calibrated to experience)
- Analytical and inquisitive mindset with a desire to learn
- Knowledge of SQL is essential
- A solutions-oriented mindset
- A passion for data and automation
- Strong Excel knowledge and aptitude, including macros
- Strong work ethic, enjoy getting involved in the details and adapt well in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Avid team player who delights in helping others and collaborates seamlessly across both technical and non-technical teams
- Python experience a plus with the desire to learn a must
- Flexibility - willingness to occasionally stretch beyond what is outlined above, plugging into other areas of the business when help is needed
Wisetack is proud to be a remote-first company! Employees in remote roles have the option of working remotely or from the Wisetack office in SF, and may occasionally travel to the Wisetack office or elsewhere for required meetings or team-building events.
