The Fraud Defense Cyber Center (FDCC) is a diverse team of cybersecurity, fraud, and risk experts who work with partners across PayPal to spearhead collaborations that achieve durable and holistic solutions to complex types of fraud. To support this goal, the FDCC fuses internal and external cyber, fraud, and abuse data to create actionable intelligence. This intelligence is compiled and refined by the FDCC’s proactive research teams, and monitored by the FDCC’s operations teams, to ensure that appropriate controls and policies are in place to protect PayPal customers and platforms.

Things you’ll do:
Partner with senior level team member to analyze big data to drive actionable insights
Develop and maintain fraud intelligence documentation for internal and partner team members
Create data visualizations dashboards in efforts to monitor data
Conduct forensics analysis over large historical datasets to determine fraud root causes and impact
Communicate intelligence and analysis of cyber threats in various forms (written production; briefings) to a senior-level audience
Collaborate with operational teams to monitor and upscale current fraud alerts
Mandatory Requirements:
Minimum of a BS/BA is required
2+ years of experience in risk, cybersecurity, fraud detection, or anti-money laundering
Experience using analytics tools and big data platforms such as Hadoop, Splunk, and SQL
