Ethicon, Inc. is recruiting for a Lead Clinical Data Analyst, located in Raritan, NJ or remote.

Responsibilities include coordination of timelines and resources required to implement and maintain a variety of clinical systems as well as provide oversight and coordination of all aspects of the development and management of clinical study databases across a variety of platforms. Coordination of activities will require the development of strong, productive relationships with colleagues within Ethicon. The Clinical Data Analyst partners with the Clinical Development team to successfully run clinical studies focused on transforming surgery.

Key Responsibilities:

Under little to no supervision and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:

  • Collaborate with Biostatistics, Statistical Programming and Data Management (BDSDM) leadership to define and document data and process standards;
  • Provide in-house project support for creating, routing and facilitate the completion of all system deliverables associated with clinical systems
  • Support the development and maintenance of global harmonized processes and procedures for clinical systems;
  • Support vendor evaluation, selection, contracting, and oversight activities for outsourced and internal clinical systems;
  • Work with BSDM partners, and leadership in Clinical Operations and Franchise to develop project management plans related to timelines and milestones for study-specific systems set-up, UAT, maintenance and closeout;
  • Lead activities related to the deployment and maintenance of Electronic Data Capture (EDC) Systems and configuration of related systems (e.g. Interactive Voice/Web Response Systems (IxRS), CTMS, eTMF);
  • Facilitate the development of training materials and programs related to clinical systems;
  • Assist with the collection and analysis of study metrics (using reporting tools, such as R or Tableau);
  • Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level
  • Performs other duties assigned as needed

Qualifications

Education:

  • A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Statistics, Computer Science or related technical field (required), with at least 6 years of system support in clinical research within Medical Device or Pharmaceuticals.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • Experience with EDC clinical systems is required.
  • Previous experience in Data Management;
  • Demonstrated ability to run a project in a team environment to deliver critical milestones is required;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;

Preferred:

  • Advanced certification in EDC clinical systems preferred;
  • Experience with CDISC SDTM is preferred;

Other:

  • Travel 10%

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs.  Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus.  The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year.  Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $101500 to $142000
