As the Senior Manager Data Science in the Supply Chain, you will work closely with all segments and functions to create an aligned digital Product and technology strategy which anchors product-led transformation and integrated digital stack for better leverage, reusability, modularity and cost effectiveness

□ Develop a deep understanding of the multi-year must-win Digital Product development, strategy following business priorities of various segments and functions (plan, source, make, deliver, and quality)

□ Design architecture and drive engineering delivery using global delivery models. Lead in test & learn and scaling new technologies with new digital product concept and technology feasibilities.

□ Ensure solutions are compliant and secured by working closely with internal risk management and audit group; Drive right level of documentation required to deploy GXP application

□ Bring ambitious ideas of product development technology to accelerate product development and adaption as well as reduce development and operation costs.

□ Lead development team to implement and enhance NLP platform and its digital products, and deliver wide adoption of a variety of use cases in JJSC and beyond

□ Demonstrate capability of leading team to create topical and industry leading digital product and its use case adaption, develop life cycle documents (SDLC) and compliance validation artifacts as well as create best practices in digital product implementation validation strategy for regulated industry that ensures production quality with cost effectiveness

□ Lead interactions with digital product end user community leaders in all segments and functions (including workshops, leadership meetings, strategy sessions and formal presentations) that help them adapt and use products to realize their priorities and benefits.

□ Work closely with product management team as well as J&J Technology Group to drive digital product development and its technical short-, mid- and long-term road maps following business priorities and demands in the J&J supply chain ecosystem

□ Become an internally and externally recognized NLP expert in supply chain digital transformation


Qualifications

□ Masters or PhD degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or any other related quantitative fields from an accredited college or university is required.

□ A minimum of 6+ years of industry experience in building enterprise application with data science capability is highly preferred.

□ Strong experience in leading digital product development by working collaboratively with Product management and relevant stakeholders

□ Hands-on experience of working with NLP is required

□ Proficiency with agile development and driving the full SDLC process is preferred.

□ Proficiency with programming in Python, SQL and one or more of the following: C#/C++, Java, JavaScript, Node.js etc is required.

□ Experience with docker and Kubernetes ecosystem is highly preferred.

□ Experience with ElasticSearch is highly preferred.

□ Experience with big data architecture and modern data stack: Hadoop, Spark, Scala, Hive, Databricks, RedShift, Stream Analytics, and etc. is highly preferred

□ Experience with cloud solution: Azure is preferred. AWS and GCP experience are good to have.

□ Good understanding of Statistical Modeling with Python, R, or SAS is preferred.

□ Good knowledge of deep learning with Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, etc. is highly preferred but not required.

□ Experience with data visualization and presentation (Tableau, Qlik, Power BI, etc.) is a plus.

□ Ability to bring razor sharp focus on business value and outcome orientation

□ Experience of working in large matrix organization

□ Ability to multi-task, and ability to prioritize work and deliver the maximum business value

□ Ability to build strong networks across the business and technology group to develop partnership at all levels of the business

□ Excellent communication, interpersonal, and written skills. Highly developed negotiating and influencing skills

□ Ability to bring energy, enthusiasm and drive to create a positive working relationship with the business and the team

□ Up to 10% travel may be required.

For United States:

Remote work options may be considered on a case-by-case basis and if approved by the Company. The anticipated base pay range for this position is $112,000 to $168,500.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs such as health insurance, savings plan, pension plan, disability plan, long-term incentive, vacation pay, sick time, holiday pay, and work, personal and family time off in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
