Johnson & Johnson Vision (JJV) is the world's leading manufacturer of contact lenses. As early as 1988, we revolutionized the ophthalmic industry with the introduction of ACUVUE®, the first exchange contact lens. This was followed in 1995 by the successful introduction of 1-DAY ACUVUE®, the world's first one-day contact lens. In recent years, the range has been expanded to include numerous innovative products in the premium segment, so that in the meantime almost every refractive error can be corrected with ACUVUE® contact lenses. In addition, we carry and sell brands such as ACUVUE® RevitaLens and blink® in our Johnson & Johnson Vision contact lens care division. With the "Surgical Vision" business and the linked expansion into cataract surgery, there was further investment in refractive laser surgery (LASIK).

Manager Business Analytics (m/f/d) EMEA

in full-time to join our JJV team.

Location: Remote in Germany, Switzerland or Austria

Contract type: fixed-term (1 year), prolongation and/or permanent transfer might be possible afterwards


Functions & responsibilities
The primary function of the position is providing primary and secondary business analytics and market research support to the EMEA commercial organization to support driving the business through evidence-informed decisions.
Applies analytics of current sales performance, market conditions, trends, competition, and other key figures to provide guidance for business plans for future and existing product portfolio.
Communicates with global, regional, and local functions to ensure alignment in business analytics.

Frontend analytics and reporting:

  • Develop and monitor tools and processes to enable data-driven decision-making within the commercial organisation.

  • Scale up business analytics capabilities by development and maintenance of current and new business analytics & planning tools.

  • Analyse and synthesize learning from business analysis and market research, drawing conclusions that provide recommendations to the business.

CRM and ERP system support:

  • Assess consistency of available data and propose solutions to obtain/generate the necessary additional data to support regional business needs.

  • Provide technical knowhow and support for the markets and execute change requests in alignment with global, regional, and local stakeholders.

Knowledge insights and transfer to ensure organisational alignment:

  • Interact closely with all markets to ensure alignment between regional data needs and market/local data gathering methodologies.

  • Proactively collect local market insights and understand the markets’ business dynamics to provide expertise on data interpretation for the commercial organisation.

  • Support forecasting process, provide insights on current trends and have regular alignment with relevant stakeholders.

  • Identify market trend predictors and derive preferred forecast methodology to improve forecast accuracy and financial planning.

  • Interact with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders as well as a wide range of seniority levels within the organisation.


Qualifications

Minimum qualification required for competent performance:

  • Bachelor / Master in Engineering, Business Administration or Economics or directly related discipline.

  • 3-5 years of experience in business analytics, ideally in an international environment

  • Excellent analytical skills

  • Experience with data visualization tools and data management

  • Experience in qualitative market research methodologies preferred

  • Ability to adjust presentation and communication style to different audiences and cultures

  • Fluent written/spoken English and German, additional European language skills of advantage
