This position falls under the YARD team (Yahoo Analytics, Research, and Data). YARD is a global team of multi-disciplined analytics and research experts who work together to deliver actionable insights that drive decision-making across all Yahoo Mail and AOL.

Your responsibilities:

Tracking & Reporting:

  • Build and effectively communicate data stories to executives and key stakeholders via presentations, written summaries, and visualizations.

  • Report the effectiveness of marketing campaigns across multiple channels, with the primary goal of efficiently driving brand lift, revenue, clicks, and conversion.

  • QA output developed by the product engineering team and validate campaign instrumentation set up before campaign launches.

  • Build and maintain dashboards using business intelligence tools (Looker, Tableau) to measure end-to-end campaign effectiveness.

  • Lead workflow to ensure any data and technical requirements are set up to provide the tracking and execution of campaigns

  • Own daily, weekly, and monthly performance analysis, including key marketing performance indicators, tracking and testing data that is sent to key stakeholders

Analysis & Business 

  • Leverage Advanced Analytics frameworks to gain insight into business-level challenges in measuring attribution, conversion, retention, and churn.

  • Perform analysis to drive customer acquisition and retention optimizations through paid marketing channels.

  • Perform deep-dive analysis of website activity and other Yahoo data to detect opportunities and insights that drive support and learning strategies.


Stakeholder management

  • Collaborate with the growth marketing and analytics teams on campaign goals to ensure that objectives are met.

  • Work closely with our creative team to contribute to the learning agenda, establish a testing framework and audience strategies for creative learning, set up an A/B test, and report on winning treatments across media channels.

  • Partner with our media agency to specialize, manage, and execute Paid Search, Paid Social, Display, and influencer marketing, including ownership of budget and spend, KPIs, creative and retargeting business rules

Must Have

  • Bachelor's degree and experience in digital marketing analytics.

  • BigQuery, Looker, SQL experience required.

  • Understanding underlying advertising technology (Appsflyer, Epsilon, Meta Business) and advertising landscape (mobile limitations, mechanics of attribution, etc).

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate performance and opportunities to key stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical skills and quantitative mindset with an understanding of basic statistics. 

  • Strong presentation skills and ability to craft and present data-driven analyses and insights

The compensation for this position ranges from $90,750.00 - $188,750.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives.
