The Topps Company, Inc. is a creator and marketer of sports, entertainment, and recreational products, headquartered in New York, NY, striving to foster an enduring connection between fans and their sport heroes. Its product portfolio includes football, baseball, basketball, ice hockey, soccer, and other sports and non-sports trading cards, jerseys, hats, balls, bats, and photos.
 
 
Responsibilities
·       Model and evaluate user behavior in order to identify value of current and planned projects
·       Develop and evaluate A/B test experiments with Product & UX teams to measure and analyze the performance of live features
·       Support of our data driven product development with proactive trend analysis, hypothesis support
·       Primary focus on engagement tracking, but also connecting to revenue performance (i.e., in-app purchases)
·       Devise and test user-flows & funnels to maximize experience to best effect
·       Establish cohorts of users to better target on an ‘individual’ level with specific content
·       Work with UX & Product to build and maintain ‘user personas’
·       Engage with internal stakeholders to gain an understanding of the problems that need to be solved and gather requirements for ‘data team’ tasks
·       Establish a workflow to manage these tasks and assign within the data team
·       Work closely and help manage our engineers to create and capture data that is aligned with the business logic and allows modelling and analysis
·       Communicate and demonstrate results/recommendations to all levels of the company – in person, online and via reports
·       Provide expertise and support stakeholders in generating new product ideas
·       Develop data tracking and collection concepts to facilitate high-quality analysis and evaluation
·       Proficient in creating, designing & maintaining dashboards with key metrics for key stakeholder teams
·       Familiar with User Acquisition tracking and reporting tools (Singular) to connect in-app and impacts in performance with specific campaigns
·       Be involved early-on in the product lifecycle to guarantee a data-driven process, with quality data
 
Your Profile
·       You are a problem solver, detail-oriented and self-motivated who thrives in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment, combining technical, product, business, and leadership perspectives.
·       You can work on multiple threads at the same time – whilst keeping a handle on things. You know your limits and can operate within that zone
·       Whilst looking for the usual trends and patterns, you are also open-minded and can identify the extra-ordinary, such as:
·       You are a data nut, but also able to explain complex terms to ‘average folk’
·       You can marry your expert knowledge with what is going on in the marketplace, and query against our own performance to benchmark against
 
Education:
Undergrad degree in either Statistics, Mathematics or similar field
Alternatively, a proven record of 3+ years in a similar role
