The Community You Will Join:
The Data Platform team's mission is to build leverage for Airbnb through trustworthy data. Our technologies power analytics, reporting, machine learning, AI, and data applications across the company.
You will be working with talented cross-functional team members (across product, engineering, design, data science, etc.) to determine how data can ultimately improve the Airbnb product experience for guests and hosts, as well as support operational workflows that help run the business.
The Difference You Will Make:
As a Product Manager for Data Platform, you will be responsible for defining the product strategy, workflows, and tools that are used to power our analytics capabilities Airbnb. Your teams will deliver on that vision so that all analytics infrastructure applications provide world class experiences on Airbnb.
A Typical Day:
- Establish product vision and northstar for your platform area that connects into the broader analytics platform strategy
- Partner with Engineering, Product, TPM, and Data Science to understand goals and establish success criteria with clearly measurable objectives and key results to deliver a great user experience
- Develop the product roadmap, get alignment on prioritization and timelines to meet business goals.
- Collaborate to define and maintain overall vision for metrics and analytics infrastructure products and platform by both inbound and outbound efforts
- Partner with a world-class team of Engineers, Designers and Data Scientists to execute efficiently and deliver impact for our business and users
- Develop a deep understanding of Airbnb's technology infrastructure and business verticals to build products that integrate into our customers’ workflows
Your Expertise:
- 10+ years of product management experience, building tools and platforms in the data infrastructure space
- Domain and technical experience in building metrics platforms to support both product and business analytics
- Strong understanding of technical architecture for complex and highly scalable solutions
- Ability to understand immediate and longer term customer goals and needs, and build products that can meet these goals
- Entrepreneurial drive and demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional and internal teams to align on a vision and product strategy
- Ability to quickly absorb technical concepts and effectively communicate with technical and non-technical partners at different levels of the organization
- Ability to prioritize and scope user requests and product capabilities balancing long term vision and short-term pain points
- Previous roles as a data scientist, analytics engineer, or data engineer is a plus
- Familiarity with a broad range of analytics, metrics, and data engineering products a plus
Your Location:
This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
