Title: Senior Associate, Business Analytics (Growth Membership and Performance)

Location: Remote

Role Description:

The Senior Associate will play a critical role in leveraging analytics and trend analysis to accelerate the growth of Oak Street Health patient membership. This is an opportunity to partner across the organization to develop a structure around OSH membership data and provide analysis that drives the identification of growth trends and insights that influence critical business and financial operations. This position will join a team of Associates / Senior Associates and will report to the Director of Growth, and ultimately to the VP of Growth Partnerships.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and improve Oak Street’s membership reporting and analytics program that serves the entire organization, including field and corporate teams
  • Work closely with Oak Street’s health plan partners to develop growth trends on a regular basis
  • Develop and maintain monthly reporting of membership trends, highlighting areas for improvement in partnership with regional leaders and other internal stakeholders to better understand and shape drivers of field growth performance and strategy
  • Support day-to-day data growth reporting needs in support of growth organization and cross-functional initiatives that identify areas for operational improvement
  • Work closely with the business intelligence team to validate and ensure the accuracy of membership data files
  • Drive monthly insights of payer membership trends in support of managed care operations team 
  • Develop analysis/tools to track and better understand the underlying drivers of Oak Street’s growth performance
  • Provide analytical leadership for long-range membership forecasting
  • Other strategic/analytical priorities, as determined by the Director of Growth 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree; Finance, Econometrics, Mathematics, Economics or related quantitative field and experience (3-5 years) in quantitative analysis
  • High-level proficiency in Excel, SQL, and/or other database software
  • Excellent problem-solving skills; an analytical thinker who is intellectually curious and energized by working with complex data sets 
  • Ability to independently solve complex problems
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and experience leveraging data/analytics to solve problems
  • US work authorization
  • Someone who embodies being “Oaky”

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6+ years working in a quantitative, data analysis role
  • Experience with Alteryx, Power BI, or data query platforms
  • Proficient in building multivariable modeling to forecast growth trends
  • Demonstrated success in a fast-paced “start-up” environment and/or healthcare experience 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
