About the Role
Marketing Strategy and Insights is a newly formed team within the Marketing Operations organization at Confluent. This team serves as internal consultants to all parts of the Marketing organization, focusing on delivering targeted insights into key components of the marketing engine including marketing campaign effectiveness, attribution and ROI, lead scoring, lead management, and more.

What You Will Do:

    • As a Senior Business Analyst at Confluent, you’ll apply your strategic and analytical skills to drive improvements in major marketing programs including marketing campaign measurement and effectiveness, pipeline attribution and ROI, lead scoring, lead management, marketing pipeline forecasting and monitoring, and more
    • Analysis: Own measurement and forensics across our funnel behavior and efficiences across marketing tactics. Identify opportunities for optimization within key areas of the marketing organization and spearhead execution on analytically-driven recommendations in support of key business objectives
    • Partnership: Work closely with colleagues across Confluent including: Marketing Operations, Growth & Marketing, Finance, Data Science, and more to drive the execution of strategic or tactical recommendations

What You Will Bring:

    • 5+ years of experience in an analytics role supporting a go-to-market organization
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, or quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Physical Sciences, Math, Statistics, Engineering
    • 2+ years of experience in SQL querying
    • Experience with data visualization such as Tableau
    • Highly proficient in Excel or Google Sheets
    • Familiarity with modern marketing and sales technology stacks (Marketo, Salesforce, Segment, BigQuery/Data Wareshouses)
    • Be able to drive and execute an agenda in an uncertain and fluid environment with a successful track record of thriving in a fast paced, entrepreneurial and dynamic environment
    • Strong business judgment: Be a tenacious decision maker, able to assess priorities and execute to drive key business outcomes
    • Strong communication skills: Impeccable written and oral communication credentials, coupled with strategic influencing skills and the ability to drive agreement through intellect, interpersonal and negotiation skills
    • Clear results orientation: display an intense focus on achieving both short and long term goals
