Mission Lane’s Customer Management Team is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join our geographically diverse team. We have offices in Richmond, VA and San Francisco, CA,  but are open to considering remote candidates that would be open to travel to our offices on occasions.

Your first role would be on the Customer Management team focusing on servicing and risk management operations. This role entails understanding customer needs, developing data based strategies to address these needs and working with cross functional teams to deliver these strategies to our customers. 

 

As a Senior Analyst, you will:

  • Drive immediate ROI:
    • You will have ownership over solving for the challenges facing our business and our customers. You will develop data-driven insight, drive strategy/innovation and deliver real change.
    • Take the lead in initiatives that produce significant value. Examples are - automated, predictive, and effortless servicing experiences; innovative and efficient Customer Recovery strategies; cutting-edge Fraud prevention strategies. 
  • Enable long-term growth:
    • Taking a hypothesis driven approach to solving problems, test into the unknown and build critical learnings that result in go-to-market strategy and tactics
    • Analyze customer data to develop our next generation of product, lending, fraud, and collections / recoveries strategies

    • Work cross-functionally on initiatives with c-suite visibility alongside product, data science, and account management teams

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Mission Lane is Looking for candidates who have:

  • Proven ability to problem solve end-to-end: from framing the question and forming a hypothesis, to analyzing the data, to communicating and debating the answer with stakeholders
  • Familiarity with SQL, python, or other tools for data analysis
  • 2-5 years of experience in a highly analytical role
  • Bachelor’s or Masters in Economics, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, or similar quantitative field with record of strong academic performance

 

Bonus points for:

  • Experience doing analytical work with credit cards or other consumer lending products
  • Experience helping scale a business in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Expertise in analytic and modeling tools (SQL, Python, R, etc)
