Using Data Scientist principles, help build Data Web Applications that power the Growth, GTM, Product, and Sales teams at NewRelic. We seek Data Scientists who are passionate about building web-based data products that will enable the entire company to consume actionable insights.

We are a fast-growing Data Engineering & Technology team building an “internal-facing data product” with a bold, ambitious vision to build the core data foundation needed to run a successful consumption business. We build core data products, promote data-driven culture, democratize insights through self-service, and establish a single source of truth in business and customer metrics.

Opportunity to work from a remote office may be available depending on applicant location.

What you'll do

• Mine and analyze data from the EDW (Enterprise Data Warehouse) and other data sources in the organization to build CFS (Central Feature Store) as a foundation to support multiple DS use cases.
• Work with internal customers and data engineers to build and deploy Data Science models to support business use cases of customer acquisition, cross-sell/upsell, and customer retention.
• Work with Statistical computer languages Python, SQL, and libraries (NumPy, Pandas) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets

This role requires

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science or PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science
• Three plus years of experience as a Data Scientist
• Hands-on working with Python and SQL.
• Demonstrated ability in using numerical and machine learning libraries (NumPy, Pandas, sci-kit-learn, Tensorflow, etc.)
• Strong experience with the open-source and AWS Cloud ecosystem (experience with EMR, EKS, Snowflake, S3, SageMaker, and abacus.ai)
• Learning/statistical techniques, including Regression, Classification, Ensemble Methods, Deep Learning, and Reinforcement Learning.
