Overview
Bungie is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our newly formed Machine Learning team. Reporting to the Director of Machine Learning, you will scope, prototype, and deploy machine learning models that will support initiatives across our organization. As an early hire for this group, you will have the ability to influence the future trajectory of the team and projects therein.
As part of the Bungie Analytics & Insights team, you will join a diverse team of analysts, data scientists, data engineers, and researchers. You will leverage your expertise in data analysis and engineering to build services that feed game personalization, optimize storefront commercialization, and create internal tools that empower Bungie teams to continue doing what they do best. Most importantly, your work will be essential to creating unmatched entertainment experiences designed to inspire friendships and lifelong memories.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with partners across the organization, gathering requirements, designing project plans, determining approaches, and defining success criteria for machine learning solutions
- Develop and deploy machine learning services end-to-end in a cloud environment
- Transform raw data and build efficient pipelines to support modeling and analytical capabilities within our team
- Communicate the results of your analyses to both technical and non-technical colleagues
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Experience working within cloud-based infrastructure to build, deploy, and manage models at scale in a live service environment
- Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL
- Advanced knowledge of machine learning frameworks such as scikit-learn
- Experience creating and using advanced machine learning algorithms and statistical models: regression, simulation, scenario analysis, clustering, decision trees, neural networks, etc.
- Effective at data visualization and storytelling geared towards both technical and non-technical audiences
NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Machine Learning, or a related field
- Experience working within a variety of different technical environments
- Experience with Tableau or similar data visualization tool
- A love of games
Most Bungie full-time employees will adopt a digital first approach allowing remote work in Bungie approved locations (outside of positions identified as 100% onsite in Bellevue/Seattle, or individuals preferring a hybrid/flex environment). Prospective full-time employees located outside of CA, CO, DC, FL, GA, IL, MA, MD, MN, NC, NJ, NY, OR, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, or WI will need to establish residency in one of the states we are compliant in within 45 days of a start date.
