The Search & Recommendations team is a new team within the AI organization at StockX.  This is a high performing team that works on the full ML/ software life-cycle with a huge emphasis on diving deep and experimenting rapidly by leveraging Machine Learning, Big Data, Recommendations/Personalization, Search expertise. 

A successful candidate has a strong customer obsession, you will bring deep technical expertise and strong business acumen. Leaders at StockX are visionaries who are not afraid of rolling up their sleeves and getting their hands dirty. You will help shape the future of Search & Recommendations experiences for StockX. You must have the desire to make industry-wide impact and the ability to work within a fast moving environment to rapidly deliver innovations.

What you'll do

• Experience with one of the following areas: machine learning technologies, Reinforcement Learning, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), information retrieval and related applications
• Proven ability to implement, operate, and deliver results via innovation at large scale
• Experience in modern programming languages (Scala, Python, Java)
• Experience communicating with executives and non-technical leaders
• Strong Computer Science fundamentals in data structures, algorithm design, statistics, system design and backend technologies
• Agile project management skills and experience
• Expertise in Computer Vision for Image Processing and Image Search
• Significant peer reviewed scientific contributions in Reinforcement Learning, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing, and related field
• Extensive experience applying theoretical models in an applied environment
• Master’s degree or a PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field

About you

• Bachelors in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field
• 10+ years industry experience building successful production software systems
• 2+ years hands-on experience with Search technologies such as ElasticSearch or Solr.
• 2+ years building Recommendation systems
• 2+ years leading high-performing software engineering teams
