The Heap team is looking for an experienced B2B Senior Marketing Data Engineering and Analytics Manager to make our marketing team operate faster, smarter, and with more impact. This role will build out and manage data flows and data integrations and scale our various data sources to help marketing analyze data that helps drive strategic decisions and recommendations across segments, channels, and audiences. You will help to develop and drive metrics to help us grow our brand including analysis on key metrics like share of voice. You will design and implement scalable data models that drive optimized performance. You’re a fan of Tableau, Snowflake and understand Adtech. 

What You’ll Do

  • Manage and own data sources and integrations across Martech / Adtech stack and integrated platforms like SFDC, Snowflake or 3rd party data and comfortable joining data across different systems in BI tools such as Tableau to see full funnel results.
  • Project Manage and product manage the data sources and data ecosystem in which marketing operates from.
  • Develop and report on marketing KPIs such as leads generated, conversion rates, website traffic, and social media engagement using Tableau tools such as Heap, Marketo, rampmetrics, SFDC, etc. to drive consistent measurement of GTM business performance
  • Foster a data-driven culture through streamlined accurate reporting and insight generation combined with compelling story-telling
  • Assist in setting up, tracking, and reporting on marketing test models (e.g. A/B, website experiences). Measure, optimize and report outcomes of marketing tests
  • Review and ensure accurate implementation of media tagging and tracking mechanisms, be a partner in building a measurable data strategy
  • Build, evaluate, and validate data models to test and validate various hypotheses and marketing campaigns
  • Help translate raw data into easy-to-understand and actionable insights
  • Work with the Paid Media owners  to develop revenue forecasting models for digital media optimization
  • Craft well-designed, easy-to-use, interactive dashboards that drive focus, engagement and action for the Marketing team
  • Upskill teams around self-serve data analysis and insights generation
  • Develop a deep understanding of data-producing activity and linkage points across the business, and how this data impacts core KPIs
  • Manage Marketing dashboards to provide visibility, cross-team alignment, and actionable insights related to metrics that matter for optimal business performance
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to do journey analysis, TAM analysis or ICP analysis

Who You Are

  • You are well-versed in data modeling, data transformation and managing data architecture across multiple data sources to improve reporting efficiency and accuracy
  • You have deep experience measuring and reporting across media and digital platforms (Search, SEO, Social, etc.)  Attribution and modeling of pipeline influence
  • You bring solid experience managing report and analysis development for Marketing stakeholders with an emphasis on scalability and data governance best practices
  • You are a strong communicator and natural cross-functional partner with stakeholders of varying levels to understand analysis needs and then prioritize and align dashboard reporting
  • You have established strong data governance protocols for management of single source of truth across disparate data sources
  • You are innately curious and inquisitive, deriving joy from getting to the bottom of hard to solve problems with data as your secret weapon
  • You take pride in being a team player who likes to look at things from various angles and with strong ownership and accountability
  • You actively seek out feedback and have an earnest desire to grow and develop in your career
  • You engage with flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of a high-growth, dynamic organization

Preferred Qualifications

  • A quantitative degree in a field like Statistics, Economics, or Mathematics, or equivalent work experience
  • 5-7 years experience in data analytics, business intelligence or revenue operations/ business operations in an analytical role
  • Proficient in accessing cloud data warehouses (Snowflake preferred)
  • SQL development skills
  • Systems experience: Tableau, Looker, SFDC, Marketo (or familiarity with Martech), & Adtech platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Google Adwords, etc).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and end to end quantitative thinking
