Heap is the industry-leading digital analytics platform for teams to understand how users engage with their products and take action.

We’re looking for a Senior Product Analyst to join our growing Product Analytics team. The Senior Product Analyst will work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, UX Designers, Data Scientists, Marketers and Customer Success teams to improve user adoption of Heap, uncover upsell opportunities, and inform what we build to grow the business.

Heap is going through a period of rapid growth, and as our company grows, so does our data. This is an exciting time to lay a solid foundation and help push Heap up the analytics maturity curve.

What you’ll do

  • Up-level the way Heap thinks about account and user engagement to prevent churn and uncover expansion opportunities.
  • Help define and implement best practices for building a data driven organization.
  • Perform deep-dive and exploratory analyses to understand user behavior, journeys and friction points.
  • Advise on and create the right KPIs that drive and measure the business.
  • Build, maintain and champion source-of-truth dashboards and data sets used across the company.
  • Identify manual workflows and find ways to scalably automate them.
  • Become an expert at using Heap, Heap data, connecting behavioral data to other sources (billing, CRM, marketing, etc) and help others at the company do the same.
  • Hunt down incorrect data and fix it at its root.

What we’re looking for

Nobody checks every box. Don’t have everything listed? We still want to hear from you!

  • 2+ years of experience in an analytics role at a startup and/or SaaS company.
  • Low ego mentality and eagerness to learn. You love when the data proves you wrong.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to tell a story with data.
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
  • High degree of proficiency in SQL, including data modeling.
  • Experience working with clickstream/behavioral data.
  • Ability to manipulate data and run analyses in a programming language such as R or Python.
  • Experience with a BI tool such as Looker or Tableau (we use Looker).
