U.S. Bank is seeking a Software Engineer who will contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives in our digital transformation journey.

This position will be responsible for the analysis, design, testing, development and maintenance of best-in-class software experiences. The candidate is a self-motivated individual who can collaborate with a team and across the organization. The candidate takes responsibility of the software artifacts produced adhering to U.S. Bank standards in order to ensure minimal impact to the customer experience. The candidate will be adept with the agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles.

Essential Responsibilities:
-

As a Data Solutions Engineer you'll join a self-organizing squad to analyze, design, test, develop and maintain data solution services and applications to support our Financial Crimes platform. Together with the squad team members, you will be responsible for delivering end-to-end features, spanning from connecting data sources to ETL/API solution implementation.

·    Writes and reviews complex code in several languages relevant to our existing product stack. Driving the automation and application design with the team to effectively plan and execute on new features with stability, scalability, testability and performance in mind.

·       Contributor to code quality standards, engineering discipline, and team collaboration processes

·       Responsible for the architecture of our solutions on a complex Hadoop platform.

·       Our Tech Stack - SQL/Presto, open-source Apache Spark/Scala, Hadoop/ETL, GitLab/Jenkins, Unix

·       We use GitLab, Cloud bees Jenkins, Artifactory, Fortify for our CI/CD Pipeline

·       Contributor to the modernizing and design of our platform as we transition from On-Prem infrastructure to an Azure Cloud platform

·       Responsible for defining application DR strategies and ensuring successful quarterly certification.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Five to six years of relevant experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

·       Defining Functional Programming practices

·       Previous experience leading teams building/optimizing Spark/Scala programs feeding multiple consumer solutions.

·       7-10 years of work experience providing data solutions on Hadoop environments

·       Experience with GIT version control - trunk based development and

Jenkins automated deployment.

Excellent communication skills to drive collaboration with cross-functional partners, senior leaders and independently drive projects and decisions.
